Hi,
I'm 62 years old too (at least for a couple more months) I had roux-en-y lap July 7, 2005 by Dr. Trace Curry the best surgeon for this kind of surgery in Ohio and maybe in the US!! I had no problems with the surgery, it went very smoothly. I can't say it was a breeze as no surgery is. It was the best thing I have ever done for myself. I have lost 84 pounds. I feel so much better. The other day my blood pressure was 110/60 and I have been off medication since the surgery my cholesterol is also normal without medication. I think this was a life-saving decision for me. I also have the energy to participate in life not just be on the sidelines. Good Luck on your journey for a new life. I will be thinking about you. If you want to talk feel free to e-mail me [email protected].
take care
