I just have a question. My surgery was 3/6/06 and all appears to be going well. Today, however, the site of my port looks a little swollen and very tender. It's actually less red than it has been in the past. Is this just a normal part of the healing process. I feel fine. Just a little weird that it has never been tender like this--probably just nerve sensation returning, but I wanted to check. Thanks, DeAnna Smith

Deanna, Swelling and tenderness is pretty normal, but a lot of redness is not. Maybe you should come in and let me take a look at it tomorrow. C
