Close call...again

Hello Ohio Friends, After being cancelled in January because of a bad EKG, I finally got back on the surgery schedule for this Friday! My pre-op testing II was on Monday and again when I got home on Tuesday from work my answering machine was lit up like a Christmas tree. My PCP wanted me to come in to see her at 2:40 today--something told me she didn't just want to see my smiling face and wish me luck. I was anxious and didn't sleep very well. It seems my sugar level was in the 200's. My PCP said not to worry, that they can control it with insulin in the hospital and that we would do a little more investigating post-op. When I asked her if they were cancelling, she said no and I immediately started to tear up. Boy, was I relieved. I think I'll sleep better tonight! Anyhoo...I'll be out tomorrow evening and wanted to thank you all for your many good wishes over the past months. This site has been a true godsend to me. I'm so inspired by your many success stories. Wish me luck on Friday--I'll see you on the other side!!!!!

Leslie, I am so happy for you and know you have been agonizing over this. God had a plan for you and having you wait a little longer was part of it. As a result you got to see how amazing the folks are on this board. I know I could of never gotten through the horrible preop period and those early days without the support of my OH family.
