Well, I guess this should help with insurance approval, right? In the 5 hours I slept, I stopped breathing 179 times! No wonder I'm so tired!!! C-PAP machine here I come!

Sorry to here of your C-Pap machined future, I does take a while to get used to the darned thing but it really helps. As for the 179 episodes in 5 hours, it could be a lot worse. I was averaging 108 episodes an hour, so I really wasn't sleeping at all. Lots of luck with your approval. Jimmy

You will be amazed how much better you feel after you start using it. I am actually on a bi-pap and I know what Jimmy is refereing to. I had 100+ apneas per hour also. It is a strange feeling when you first start using it, but you will get use to it. I have been on mine for over four years and it is just second nature now. I have had my pressure lowered twice since surgery, and hope to be able to get rid of it someday, although it does not bother me to use it daily. ~Dan B.

Sorry to hear that you will need a machine, I suffer from Severe Obstructive Sleep Apnea as well. During my study I quit breathing an average of 139 times an hour over a 5 hour period, needless to say I'm on a Bi-Pap machine with a setting of 16 over 12, and man It is so hard to get used to. I got to sleep with it on and wake up with it off and don't even realize it. But GOOD LUCK with your experience. Jim
