For the Dr. Curry fans out there

I have been reading the board and just could not help but post this information (I hope Dr. Curry is ok with it) I am putting together the National event in Lexington, Kentucky..I spend alot of time in Georgetown, Ky with Dr. Oldham and Dr. Weiss. This past Wednesday when I walked into their facility, Dr. Oldham called me into his office..I am thinking "uh oh, what did I do now" ..lol He asked me if I knew Dr. Curry, told me he met him over the weekend at a conference and wanted to know if we could have him present at the National Conference! I think that says alot about any doctor when another asked for you personally. I have to say I was impressed with it.. and let me add he not only liked him personally but he said he gave a very good talk! I will be posting more and more info on the conference as we go. We have not signed a contract with the facility but if you want to attend and are a huge fan of Dr. Curry's ..I will give you guys the same rate I gave the Georgetown support group, shhhhhhh Don't tell Monica Ganz, the sign ups have to be in to get a $35.00 discount on attending. oopss that's what I get for being in a hurry, someone emailed to ask what I meant in that last sentence. The sign ups must be in by April 13th for a 35.00 discount..again email me direct for more information.. This will be posted on the events sight as soon as we have the facility ..we are working with 3 places now. Once that is made public you will have to go on line to sign up and pay full price. what exactly is the conference? Stephanie

Stephanie, ObesityHelp puts on conferences all over the U.S. last year we had a one day event in Cincinnati with most of the Hospitals in the area attending. The event in Lexington will be a National event where we will be pulling professinoals from all over. I have here on my list 4 bariatric surgeons. I believe one more coming in I don't have info on .. there will be alot of classroom experience, with dieticians, nutritioinst, physical therapist as well as personal trainers and mental health professionals, motivational speakers, tons of vendors and alot of fun. I received an emails from people around the Eastern side of the US who want to attend, a group I met at the N.J. Conference are coming in from Connecticut.. most of all it's a great time for people to get together and have fun, in the evening we will have a party and alot of socializing gong on..lunch is provided in the cost of the event for two full days. We will break for dinner so everyone can go on their own..That time gives us the opportunity to change the ball room for classroom back to the the ballroom for a fun masquerade party .. I do have to say at the moment we are looking at two possibly 3 sites for the conference, I hope we have it together by next week..If you want to wait until we formally announce that then ask for a registration form it might be easier..but I can send one out today, not a problem. Monica Ganz will be posting the speaker list and topics just as soon as the docs get them in. It's difficult for them as I know they are busy.. any questions give me a shout Brenda [email protected]
