Hi Dr. C, I have a friend that was asking me about the RNY surgery and how I was doing etc. She said she wanted to look into having the surgery, but she wasn't sure if she could have it or not. She hasn't been feeling good and they are testing her for Parkinson's disease. If she has Parkinson's does that rule out having surgery? Hope all is well with you. I'm doing fine. See you in April. Nancy, Parkinson's would not be a problem for a bypass patient to my knowledge but I'd have to research it a little. Dr. C

Thanks for the info. Don't do too much homework on it yet. She might be overwhelmed dealing with the Parkinson's and not want to continue the WLS request. If she wants to continue it, I'll tell her to make an appointment. I just didn't want her to make an appointment and hear that it was a no-go due to Parkinsons. Thanks.
