Need in-network surgeon and hospital

I have Definity Health, which is a UnitedHealth Group Company. They say they will insure gastric bypass surgery, once all of the criteria is met. My problem is that they are no help what so ever in finding surgeons and hospitals that are 'in-network". We live close to Columbus, Ohio. Is there anyone that can pass on Doctors and hospital names that are in this network? Thanks

Hi Connie, I am from Bellefontaine, and work for OhiohHealth, I have definity,,,they are great on getting approved... The Barix Center in Groveport takes them The people at the center are great and I would be happy to e mail you more info. I only felt the ins dept for them was slow, but others I have talked to did not have that problem. So I would recommend them.. they have a great follow up program. the reviews for them on this site are very good. they have a very informative web sight as well. Good Luck! Blessings, pam

I forgot, they know Beech Street, not Definity. Definity is a 3rd party admionistrator for your employer. In Ohio the network is Beech Street. You can go to the Definity health web page and look up doctors too.

Dr. Rita Anderson in Kettering OH (just south of Dayton) is part of the New Life Surgery Center and practices in Kettering Hospital. http://www.newlifesurgery.org/ They are in-network for you and she performs both the RNY and the DS. I can give my own report that she is one of the sweetest and most caring surgeons I've encountered. She shares the joy of each of her patients as they start to see results. She really knows her stuff too!
