ENT appt
Well i went to see an ENT today to see if there was anything surgical that could be done for my sleep apnea...I am not sure if this is good news or bad news but he said there is nothing that can be done for me surgically...My best... and only bet to get rid or the evil C-pap is weight loss.....I am glad that i do not have to have surgery.. but now even more hinges on me being accepted for WLS.... I cannot tolerate being on c-pap for the rest of my life. he really felt the a wt loss of 50-60 lbs would help. I just cannot get accepted soon enough !....diane

I know how you feel, I too hate this danged Bipap machine. But I guess I need to use it.
I had requested copies of my sleep studies and I received them last Monday. On the first sleep study (no machine) I averaged 108 episodes an hour. I was having them an average of 33 seconds apart. I couldn't believe it when I ready it.
The problem is now that I have become so dependant on it, that I can't sleep without it. Not even a nap.
I just hope that when I do get my surgery and lose the weight, That I will be able to give it up and go back to regular sleeping.

wow.. that is alot of apneas.... i only avgeraged 26 per hour but my oxygen saturation dropped to 74% (normal 96-100) So i am at a high risk for heart attack and stroke. So i will wear the mask... but I do not sleep well.. if fact worse than ever.. the only difference is I do not wake up with Headaches... Now I wake up with a sore nose.. sore upper teeth, red marks on my face and a hose wrapped around my head !!
