Thanks for the prayers.. and... 1st appt at OSU

I have read all the responses to the call for prayer that my sister, Pam stevens, posted for my daughter Lauren. THank you all, and keep praying for her...prayer is a powerful thing and I cannot imagine where she would be with out it. She is feeling some better.. still in alot of pain. We are waiting on rheumatology and immunology appts. to see it anything else can be doen to keep this form progrtessing. Now, for some great news....I had my appt yesterday at OSU for my psych evaul and dietary consult. The psych evaul went smooth. He said i was a "strong willed lady" but as long as I listened to the Dr. and nurses, dietitians etc.. i should do well. Then came the dietary consult. She made me feel so good..... she said I was very well informed ( thanks ObesityHelp) and she called me LITTLE.. I have not been called that since i was 7. She went over my history and I did a Gen Med reading which showed i will do very well with weight loss after surgery. She calmed my fears greatly by saying that the weight she got yesterday is the Starting weight they will use.. Even if I loose some I still qualify. Then the best news of all.. she said the reason they were going to require me to do the 12-26 wk supervised diet was because I have not been on a supervised diet in @ 2 yrs, but after talking to me she decided I had a good knowledge of nutrition and what I need to eat so she waved her magic wand and POOF.. no pre op diet needed!!!! After all I have been thru this past week... I was floating on cloud 9. All my paperwork should be into the Committie next wk or the wk after... finally I am on my way !!!!!............diane

Pam, Read your profile, Your my age and we was the same bmi. I am down 82 pounds in 5 months. Your going to love this surgery. I feel like I am 20 again. Best wishes with your up comming surgery Barb

Diane, I am soooo Happy for you that this is really going to happen for you!!! I am soon to be 45 and really and truly do feel better than I did in my 20's... But unfortunetly at Walmart last night I was looking at Age rewind makeup. Kind of hoping that I could firm up my face and have it match my new and improved body. LOL I am proud of you for sticking in there and jumping through all the hoops, and see.. It paid off. Let us know when your surgery date is so we can keep informed. Big Hugs Another Loser from OSU. I use that makeup.Rewind I love it. I also use little of the moose color. I also use the loreal revita lift uplift lotion for neck and face. then loreal eye lift.I wash my face moring and night and put this on. I only use make up if i go out. I use oil of olay all day. seems to have reduced wrinkles and tightened my skin. Thanks for the support Laura. You are doing wonderfulllll Hugs Barb
