My sister, Diane Ashley has posted here. Her Daughter Lauren was in the hospitall Sat and had 2 surgeries on her back... This was like 9 or 10 surgeries for her in 18 months. She has had headaches and was diagnosed with a psuedo tumor.... Shunts have not worked to relieve the pain. Sat they did a lamenectomy and found she has arachnoiditits (inflamation of one of the membrains around the spinal cord and brain) and adhesions around the nerves at the bottom of her spine... probably caused by lumbar punctures she had as an infant. There is no cure, only pain management... for her life time, and it could progress. She is only 11 years old. They are looking into different options, but it is going to be a long hard roard for the whole family... please keep them in prayer. Blessings, Pam

Lauren is so young to have so many health problems, I feel badly for her the poor little girl. Just know that she will be in my thoughts and prayers as I go through my day. I was talking with my mom yesterday and I told her I have so many folks I am praying for right now, I have to head to bed a half an hour early so I can cover everyone. It seems so many people and families are under so much attack right now. Hopefully they will eventually find a Dr who can offer her some true relief from this pain... Big Hugs Laura

Pam, I will definitely keep Lauren and family in my prayers. It's tough going through something this stressfull. It sounds like Lauren has been through alot in the last year and a half, poor thing! I have a 13 year old and I couldn't imagine having to go through so many surgeries in such a short period of time. My heart goes out to all of you. love and prayers Josie

Thanks ladies..... it's good to know we have so many people praying for her. I am involved in Epiphany ministries and Emmaus so we have her covered there and at our churches. Knowing that is a comfort For Lauren too, I send her my e-mails from people who are praying for her. Blessings, Pam
