Any one heard of Drs. Stellato?

Oh what a afternoon. Had anouther meeting with my general doctor. He was so full of bad new's. My blood pressure is staying up so that make's me officle high bp/htn. They spoted something on my liver when they did the ultrasound last wk. Might be nothing but i need a mri to check it out. My back mri shows i have something wrong with a disk in my back that is pushing in on a nerve so i need to see a back surgon on 3/8. But anyway. I got hold of the nice lady at UH and per my md i am to see Drs. Stellato asap. So i called his office and they will be calling me back. Anyone like him? Dislike him? My MD really thinks this "Roux-en-y" surgery Drs Stellato does will do good for me. John

John, Dr. Stellato assisted my doctor in my RNY. Dr. Stellato is the chief of surgery at University Hospital! He is awesome! I had Dr. Jasper...who is also awesome! The other doctor that does the surgery is Dr. Hallowell. They are all top notch, compassionate doctors! The whole program at UH is the best in the area.....because it is a complete program. From pre-op to post-op all the staff is at every meeting! I don't know of anyone other program that all the surgeons, nurses, dietician, psych nurse, etc.....all go to every single meeting! You will be in the best of hands! He may seem a little gruff when you first meet him but don't let him fool you! He is very nice! If you have any questions about the program don't hesitate to call and ask them! Hope that all works out for the best! Sue 320/132/130 goal

Hey John, I wanted to let you know I went to a PreOp meeting at UH on Monday. I was thoroughly impressed by the fact that the entire team was there and attend every first monday of the meeting pre-op meeting. When I say the who team I mean, all the surgeons- Dr. Stellato (Chief of Surgery at UH), Dr. Jasper and Dr. Hallowell. All so nice, I see Hallowell Friday for consult. The nursing staff, dietician, physical therapist and office staff. Can you believe it or what. John, I had dr hallowell do my surgery and dr. stellato assisted him.I never accually met him but have heard alot of good things about him.If you go to the meetings you'll see what i mean. they are all nice.any questions just email me. rich w

Hey John, we're neighbors, I'm in Painesville! I have Dr Stellato and I was very impressed with him. I have only had the consultation with him, I am awaiting another appeal hearing with my insurance so who knows if and when i will have the surgery. I am so glad I called him and got this ball rolling though. He answered every question and asked alot of questions of me. Treated me like a person, and listened to me...that's saying alot for a doctor...Good luck to you on this journey!

Hello to everyone. Just wanted to say have a good wk end. John Debbie. Glad to know i have someone close by. I just got home and i see UH sent me the DVD of there program like they said they would on Wed morning. Wow 24 hrs.
