Off Topic, But I knew I could count on you all.
My daughter Andrea has a cat named Oreo. He is a big Beefy male that has been strictly an indoor cat. He escaped out the door last Friday when a friend was coming in the door. Andrea is heartbroken and wants her companion back badly.. Lots of tears have been shed by all of us while he has been missing.
Could you all please say a little prayer that Mr Oreo will come home today and make us all smile again. I know it sounds insane praying for a pet, but its just as much for my sweet daughter who is so depressed over him being gone..
Love and hugs to all..
Laura
So I am kinda keeping this on topic. I saw my PCP on Tuesday and I am now down 162 pounds, normal cholesterol and triglycerides, blood sugar, All my vitamin levels were within normal limits, normal blood pressure ( off b/p meds. No Edema, so I am off of lasix.. This WLS has been such a miracle in my life.!!!!
Lots of Love and Hugs

Oreo is probably somewhere close by. Our friends' cat Frodo escapes occasionally and hides in the bushes for days, acting like he has forgotten where he lives, which given Frodo's intelligence, is probably true. Eventually he comes out and is scooped up. Every time this happens everyone believes poor Frodo has gone to the great cat box in the sky but he always shows up---thinner and scraggly-looking. I hope Oreo will turn up when he gets a little hungry.

Laura:
My son's cat, Smokey did the same thing and was never an outside cat. I was told to tell him to put litter box and food dish outside so they can pick up on their scent.
Luckily they did find smokey, like the previous poster Smokey was found hiding under a pile of wood or something just sitting there. My son and his GF were very happy and Smokey is now home safe and they are guarding the door better when they open it. LOL
Good luck

WOW Laura ... congrats on your great results. I get edema sometimes and it is just miserable. I do not have to take lasix (yet) but my Mom took it daily. I think it is wonderful that everything has worked out for you. I am hoping IF I get my surgery ... I will be a success like you and it will be a "miracle in my life" also. Susan
