acid reflux ? for Dr.C

I have suffered from acid reflux for about the last 4 years, and have taken Nexium for it. The Nexium completely controlled my reflux. In October I stopped taking it and started taking Prilosec OTC only when my acid reflux occurs (about once every 3 weeks). Do you think my past need for acid reflux medication could hinder a surgeon from placing the band, or warrant further medical testing above and beyond what will be done at my pre authorization testing? Theresa, I suffered from acid reflux horribly , I was at times on 2 medications, kept awake at night and in constant pain, wls solved it all, hang in there and it will soon be over.
