Hello everyone! I just wanted to thank all of you *****sponded to my post two weeks ago. I hadn't heard anything from my Doctor for three months and I hadn't called to see what the hold up was. I know...DUMB! You all gave me the nudge I needed to get the ball rolling. As it turns out, there was a problem. My chart got put in the wrong place and my insurance hadn't been submitted at all. Boy did I feel like a ROYAL IDIOT! Anyway, the Bariatric Coordinator faxed my insurance company that day and I got my approval today! Still no word on a date, but that should come the first part of next week. Thanks again for the nudge!! Bella

Congrats on your approval, I wish you all the best. Nice to see some people from around my area, there for a while I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one in the Columbus area. I read Ohio board almost every day and see a lot from around the state, just not a lot form here. Jimmy

Dear Bella, Dont feel bad about the missing chart and the delay, that could happen to anyone. As a matter of fact , My PCP moved out of town from Cambridge to Wooster during my approval stage and my approval letter was lost in the shuffle. Ohio Medicaid wouldnt issue another approval letter, and no one was sure whether the original went with Dr Davis to Wooster or if it stayed behind at the medical records bureau of superior med. My approval letter floated in limbo for 5 months until it was finally located in the files of the Dr who finally stepped in to cover for Dr Davis after his move. That was an orthopedic surgeon not a Primary Care Doc. It was a miracle it was finally located. So.. Bless your soul for getting your approval.. And we will see you on the losing side soon. Love and hugs Laura
