OT-Abcess/septic shock

I had a perirectal abcess (thought it was just some kind of boil). I was really sick on Sunday, ended up leaving work early and going to ER. I knew it was bad when 10 minutes after arriving in ER I was being given morphine and a surgical team was on the way. The abcess had gotten bad enough to cause sepsis-I hadn't called the doctor because I was embarrassed. (Of course being hopped up on morphine on a Sunday night while 5 people stare at your crack is WAY more embarassing-believe me.) Anyway, they removed the abcess, gave me some medicine and sent me on my way. (I don't have ANY insurance). Now I have to follow up with the surgeon in two weeks. There is apparently some concern that the abcess was caused by Chrones disease-which runs in my family. If I do have Chrones what effect will my GB have on it? Anyone know? Thanks! Becky R 254/139

Oh Becky! How dreadful! I hope you are feeling better now and out of pain. {{{Becky}}} Take care of yourself. I'll be praying for you. I'm sorry I don't have any info to help, but someone surely will. hugs, Barbara

Thanks Barbara! The very severe pain is gone, the incision hurts still and my sedentary job doesn't seem to be doing much for it! LOL. Boomerang hugs, Becky
