My name is Kari Dickman. I am currently doing a project on obesity for my speech class at Cincinnati State. Two years ago my mother had gastric bypass surgery and recommended that I direct some of my questions your way. I would appreciate any input that you may offer. 1. Do you feel that gastric bypass surgery is a solution to obesity in America. 2. When deciding whether or not to have weight loss surgery, do the benefits outweigh the risks. 3. Why is weight loss surgery successful with some patients who were not successful with diet and exercise. 4. Is weight loss surgery recommended for people who suffer from health issues due to obesity. 5. How might weight loss surgery change the future of obesity.
