Hello all

Hello everyone, My name is Melissa I live in Akron. I weigh 280. I haven't had my surgery yet, but it should be in the next 4-5 months. I have had my Dr's visit with Dr.Z. And my insurance requiers me to have a 3 month exercise program and I started that on Wed. Bad thing was I was put on amoxicilan for another reason and it swelled my throat so went to hospital, and now I am on the Z-pak And predizone which we all know helps you gain weight neverending battle. Good thing is I'm only on it for a week or so. I am so amazed by how many people are on here that are right around me. Hopefully I will find some new friends that one day I can meet up with that know where I am coming from. Good luck to everyone and have a great day. Melissa

Hi Melissa im Melissa too although only when im in trouble otherwise its Missy !LOL i was born and raised in akron just moved to wadsworth 2 yrs ago Dr Z is doing my surgery hopefully soon i just finished my 3 mo supervized and i have all my pre testing done so its just a matter of approval ... so if everyone will say a lil prayer for me i will really appreciate it ... any how have you gone to any support meetings yet ? i know i should probably start going maybe i will make this month well see .. but just wanted to say welcome .. wonderful people on this board and you will find many answers to your questions here Missy

Missy, Good luck on having your surgery. I am just starting my 3 month program. I only had a endoscopy done and it was yucky. I will be starting my other stuff soon. I haven't gone to any meetings yet. I probably will start going after I have my surgery. Have fun. Stay in touch. Melissa

Hello Melissa My name is Barbara and I live in Salem, just a short hour from you. I know what you are going through witht the prednisone -wicked stuff- I sure hope you are feeling much better now. Do you know of any pre-op support meetings? I haven't found anyone from my town that has had this surgery yet or even looking into it.
