Anybody Else From Columbus Area?? I am new to the board

Is there any support groups? I belong to a few local BBW/BHM local groups if anyone is interested in some local BBW events let me know and I will pass the info on.

I am from Columbus also. I know there are support groups here in Columbus, but I am not sure where they are.

Hello... I live in Circleville, but work in Upper Arlington... I know that OSU has support group meetings, but I am not sure when they are... I really need to start going... I had my surgery almost a year ago... but I do believe firmly in support groups... good luck in finding one!!

I know that Mt Carmel has a support group on the first Monday of every month. Its at Mt. Carmel West. But it may be something that my doctor's office does, I don't know for sure. I hope you find one. Its helped me a lot! Good luck!!! Bella

OSU support groups are the 1st Wed and Last Wed of the month. They start at 7pm. They are down at campus, not sure the exact address. Julie

The OSU support group that meets on the 1st wed is for newbies 6 mo & under and the other is for those 6mo & up. They meet at Davis hall I think at 7pm

Hi CJ, Mt. Carmel accepts anyone to its Support Group meetings. As mentioned before, we meet the first Monday of every month. If you need directions to the appropriate place, call Mid Ohio Surgical Associates or call Mt. Carmel and ask for the bariatric coordinator. Our meetings are for those who are considering having gastric bypass or for those of us who are post op. I think a few of us post ops are thinking about starting up an informal type meeting for support as well. Keep watching this website and the Ohio messageboard. Suzie
