Did you do it to find a MAN?
This morning on my way to work, I stopped for coffee and ran into a woman that I used to work with. She was shocked at the sight of the new me and asked me if I had the surgery to find a man. It was 6am and my cylinders weren't all clicking and I didn't really respond to her question. I've been thinking about it ever since and now I wish that I had told her.......No, I did it so that I could live a long healthy life. I did it so that I could take my nephew to the mall and ride elevators and escalators all day and not go home in pain. I did it so that I could take my niece out and run all day and not worry about needing a pain pill when I got home. I did it so that my family wouldn't worry about me dying young and leaving them to soon. I did it so that I could live a life that is full and content. I did it because I knew that there was a woman living in this body who deserved a better quality of life then she had. I did it so that I could get up in the morning and take off full of energy. I did it so that I could stop taking all of the meds that used to keep me barely functioning. I did it for more reasons then I could ever say, but the one reason that I didn't do it was to find a MAN! Have any of you ever had someone ask you a question like that?
Cathy-who at 190 pounds gone is one VERY HAPPY woman, living her life fully without a man in it! Of course if one comes along, I ain't kicking him to the curb!

Yes, I did... but don't tell my husband.
TOTALLY KIDDING!! I love my hubby to death... he's seen me at a variety of weights and was so complementary at each of them. He's more worried that I am going to lose my curves than anything... ummm, I don't think that's possible to lose all of these curves!
You've done it for the right reasons Cathy, you've done it for YOU. What a crazy question for someone to ask you. People are so strange sometimes.

So strange the things people think. Like the only quality man we would want is one who couldnt look past the weight in the first place. I must say one of the things that attracts me to my husband so much is not once did he ever complain about my weight. We have been married for almost 16 years and together 17. Someone asked him how small he wanted me to get. He said i dont care as long as i have her. The weight wasnt an issue at 300 and it wont be whenever it stops. Things like that are what make them even more attractive the longer youve been with them.

You are one lucky woman to have such a man in your life. To bad some of these other guys didn't have a mother who raised them better. I had one man at work ask me out a few months ago and when I asked him why he hadn't asked me out before, his reply was, Well you didn't look like this before! Needless to say.....my answer was NO!
