Hi I need some Buckeye love!
Sorry I didn't make it home to see all my OSU friends for the Christmas party but I got a part-time job at Lane Bryant and worked during my break from my full time job. Also, I knew my mom would be coming down to see me in January...o.k....here comes the reason I need some love. I'm having heart surgery next week. For those of you who have tried to keep up with my story...I had what they believe was a mini-stroke last year and they discovered I had a tiny hole in my heart and they have decided to close it. It is actually a non-invasive procedure but it's still scary. The surgery is on Tuesday, my mom is coming down this weekend. I am trying to get things at work in order and my apartment cleaned. Last night was my last night at LB until after surgery so of course I was shopping for some undies to wear in the hospital.
Actually, my roommate is making fun of me because I have matched my outfit for the hospital...my gown to my panties to my hair tie. Hey I need to meet me a single doctor!!!
So keep me in your thoughts and prayers I'll let you all know how things go.

Best of luck to you in your surgery and hopefully you will meet that handsome young rich Doctor of your dreams. But dont overlook a sexy custodian that might be even sweeter and better than the Doc.
I am sorry that you are having to have the surgery, I am sure that was a big suprise for you. Had you been having any physical symptoms that led them to decide to do the surgery?
I will keep you in my prayers and the best of luck to you
Hugs
Laura
Wow Laura you are looking great!
I had signs of a TIA (mini-stroke) in Nov. 2004 and in Jan...that led to a cat scan that showed evidence of what could have been a stroke. Yes, so first off, their is some debate as to whether I had a TIA or not, but for what I have read...and the most recent and expert neuro believes I did have at least 1. So then in May then did the test that found I had the hole...but it only opens when I bear down. And there was some debate amongst doctors as to whether I should stay on coumadin for life or have the hole closed...and things just get complicated. So after much consultation amongst doctors and me speaking up for myself....like hey...I want to have kids and that's not going to be safe to do if I'm on coumadin forever!!! They decided to close the hole. The thing is that there isn't a lot of completed research on the matter. But I'd rather be safer at this point...and a majority of the doctors agree.
Sarah!
Hi Honey!! OMG!! I haven't been on the board in so long! I am so glad I jumped online just to peruse around since I haven't been here. I know God is directing me now for sure!
You know you have my love, my support and my prayers. We will all be up here thinking and praying about you. Keep us posted on how you are doing when you can.
Whether it's a non invasive or invasive it's still frightening. That unknown factor, and my go****'s your main pump we're talking about. Heart stuff is serious no matter what way you look at it. I would be scared too.
Ok BIG BIG BIG (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))))))))))and BIG OL
too!
You are a Buckeye now and forever and we all love you!!!

Hey there, Sarah Margaret!
Hope your surgery goes well. Mine did
Your profile was probably the piece of information that made me think WLS could be successful for me. If you need anything, let me know. I've stopped mailing cookies to people, but I'm good for a card, book or homemade CD at the very least
