HEY!!! 
My name is Valerie Curry, and we have a great support group going right now and we would love to have you join! Right now we are brainstorming on things to do as a "group" to have fun and just be support for one another.
As for the family thing, I think most of us can relate to that! This surgery DOES change us. Sometimes the ones we think are the closest people to us are really the ones who have the hardest time with the "new" us. But, you are finding out who you really are, and that's a great thing. You just be you and be happy with yourself. If they are having a hard time with it, unfortunately that is their issue to deal with. You have spent time being miserable. Now you need to look ahead and be happy about your future and happy about loving the new you!

We all go to OSU's support meetings, but you don't have to have had surgery there, we are all just one big WLS happy family!!! There is a growing number of us who meet for dinner before the meeting at OSU. There is a lot of information, and I can hopefully help you out!
