I guess we are all in the same boat. I think being heavy for 35 years is hard to get over. I walk past a mirror and I can't believe that it's me. I wonder if this ever passes. I gained 3 lbs over the holidays and I am having a hard time getting it off. It is making me crazy. I don't seem to be eating anything differently, but now it's 18 months and things are changing. The first year was so fun and now I am really scared. I don't want to feel this way so does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you, Cindy

Cindy, Walking is the best excercise. Do you walk any. I walk on nice days. On cold days I get on the treadmill. I think walking would take those 3 pounds right away. Up your protein and water. Hugs Barb

Cindy, I have to say that in each stage of the journey you face some challenges. After the first year or so you are completly healed and "can" eat just about any thing that you want. That why the first year is so important to develop a new lifestyle as well. You did that! It is now up to us to keep living the way other healthy normal people do. Losing those last few pounds is hard. I know how you feel. I too gained 7 pounds from Thanksgiving to the New Year. So far I have lost 4 of them. I am still struggling with the last 15 pounds to get to my goal weight. The nice thing is this is one of the first New Year in my life where I can say I want to lose only 20 pounds. It use to be 120 pounds. My resolution is to become more consistent with exercising 5 days a week, even in the winter. I made it so far this week. Only 51 more to go. Good luck Cindy. You will find your way to continue to lead a normal healthy life. Deb

Hi Cindy I have alwaays had trouble trying to figure out if I'm bigger than other people, and have had to ask someone else. I now know I'm smaller than bigger people, but still have a hard time judging how I comapre to people anywhere close to my size. and, sometimes I feel bigger than I am. Was that confusing? I understood you. I just went thru that tonight with my skinny sisters. and they keep saying your not big barb. I keep saying I feel huge. They would say your not you look great. I dont think they mean it. But again maybe they do ?????????? I know what you meant.... I think they think I am huge still. But how could they. They was showing me there size 8 outfits. They are twins and went shopping today for clothes. I just feel like they rub it in my face. But then again is this in my head. Take care Barb

Sharyn, I still have problems remembering exactly HOW BIG I was , and I am always asking my kids, "WAS I THAT BIG" question. I was so ashamed of my size there are very few pictures of me at my biggest size. What you said made perfect sense to me..We are still in the journey and still trying to have our head and body catch up with one another. Love you girly, Laura
