Protein Drinks

Hi all. I have never posted here before, but I need some help. I live in a very small town in East Central Ohio. Even though it is a small town, there are alot of people who have had some sort of weight loss surgery. Not everyone has had the surgery though Barix and therefore, the only support groups available, don't welcome all of these people. because of that, a friend and I have decided to start our own "Peer Support Group." This group will not be for the purpose of medical advise or to convince anyone to have the surgery. It is simply a meeting for everyone to come and feel welcome to express what they are going through and their hopes and fears. I am very excited about the response I have gotten so far and we have not even had the first meeting. My question is..I would like to contact some companies that sell protein products and see if any of them would be interested in sending me samples for the meeting. I had the web sight once before of a company that would send products, but I lost it when the computer at home dumped and have not been able to remember it since. You might want to try Unjury.com. I emailed them when I was researching WLS and protein products and they sent me a few samples. I still order from them for my protein powder.

We will be meeting January 10th, next Tuesday at 6:30 till 8:00 or so depending on how much we have to cover. It will be at the First Baptist church in Newcomerstown which is at the corner of River and Church streets. Would love to have you there. Like I said, it is not a hospital supported group, just a bunch of people getting together to talk and give ideas and suggestions. I have it scheduled for the 2nd Tuesday in each month, but I might have to change that to the third Tuesday or maybe even a different day, but I want to get everyone together first and see how it works for everyone. lol ... I am from your area (live in Columbus OH now) and have many relatives in Newcomerstown and Coshocton County and surrounding areas. Mom graduated from NHS in 1949. Small world. Good luck with your quest.

Susan Boy, what a small world. I also lived in COlumbus for about 6 years and still go over there all the time. My best friend is over there still as well as the plastic surgeon. Did you go to Newcomerstown? If so, about what year without being so forward as to ask your age. I will admit it, I am 40. I graduated in 1984.
