Hair loss again????

Well it's happening to me. I have lost a ton of hair in the last two weeks. I am so mad because it was all growing in so well. Now it's worse then last year. I am getting in at least 60 grams of protien and all my vitimins. Someone told me that you can lose hair after any surgery. I had my arm surgery in Oct. Does anyone ever hear of this happening again????? I am so upset. Everything else is great but the hair loss is killing me. I think I need a wig ugh. Thanks again . Cindy, That is true it happens on all surgerys. Your hair will come back. I took a bath and thought someone had there hair cut in my bath tub. I was in shock when I went in there and seen all that hair, I have thick hair. I cant do nothing with it. I hope this passes quick Love Barb

Cindy, Are you under any unusual stress right now. I find when I am the hair is the first thing to start falling out again. If I am not sleeping enough and stressing the hair starts coming out. You might increase the biotin and add an extra prenatal vitamin like Dr Mikami had me do. Also I swear by the generic Nioxin treatment Gel from Sally's beauty supply. It comes as a kit with shampoo conditioner and treatment gel. It costs about 15.00 for the set , but lasts forever. And between the biotin, and the treatments my hair is stable right now. But that can change at any minute. I Love you and hope the hair situation calms down.. If not I will join you in wearing a Big Old Blonde Dolly Parton Wig.. Yeeee Ha.. Hugs Laura

I lost alot of hair after both my c-sections with my kids. Probably more than I have lost since my wls. I don't want to speak to soon though! I do take biotin and use nioxin shampoo. I have tried pretty much everything I have read here and so far have been pretty lucky. Best of luck to you!

Cindy , Definatly your surgery in oct probably is playing the bigest role any time they hafta give anesthesia your bound to see some hair loss and im sure having had WLS probably only makes it worse .. i know too with my clients who have had problems changes in medications and or hormones also play a big role in hair loss .. but good news it will grow back everyone seems to be giving good advice do the bioton ask the dr about any other extra vitamins and nioxin is a wonderful product and laura is right it lasts forever hope this was a little helpful if it would come down to needing a wig ... which i doubt it will .. i know a little bit about them .. and my boss is awesome with them .. so i could prolly handle any questions you would have so feel free to e mail ...i know i am dreadin the hairloss part when i finally get my surgery ... good luck Missy
