New to the Message Board

Hi! My name is Angela. I'm new to these message boards, so I thought I would introduce myself. I'm 29 (and now holding!) and live with my four cats on the east side of Cincinnati. I'm restarting my quest to have WLS after a 3 1/2-year hiatis because I chickened out the first time. Since then, though, both my sisters and their respective husbands have had gastric bypass surgery with Dr. Curry. Each of them had a different experience, but they all got through it and are now glad they did. I'm especially encouraged by the success my sister Shirley has had. I'm not sure if I will be able to get approval, though. That's actually one of my main fears right now, because I certainly couldn't afford to get the surgery without my insurance! I've been looking at a few posts here and there and this seems to be a really friendly and supportive group! I look forward to getting to know everyone better and to getting a surgery date!! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season! I know I did, except in the back of my mind I kept wondering what it would be like without the burden of all the excess weight.
