Hi Denise....
I'm new to this "OHIO" Board too! I haven't been in Obesity Help for over 18 months now and WOW has it changed! I'm GLAD they have a local board like this!
I'm in SW Ohio, so I cannot help you with the information you seek... but I CAN tell you that being nervous is normal. If your weren't nervous, then you might be taking it too lightly. But this surgery is a HUGE STEP ni changing your life, and it will happen for you.
I'm approaching 50 years old, but WOW do I feel like I'm 30! REALLY!
You'll be fine in time, promise... just take one day at a time. That's the only way. I had surgery over 3 years ago... and BOY what a start I had! I went back to work full time just 16 days after surgery AND that's after a hospital stay of 9 days of those 16! So you can imagine how bumpy I had it, huh? So if I can "make it" at my age with such a rough start, YOU have NOTHING to worry about! Your determination and resolve to CHANGE YOUR LIFE will help you heal so much faster afterward! The key is to MOVE AROUND ASAP after surgery.... Slow but sure and often... walk and walk and walk to gain more strength each day.
Keep close to those who support you... here, in town, and your immediate family and friends. They can be the "wind beneath your wings"!
