Good afternoon, I have a question for all you long term RNY"ers-at least longer then the 2 weeks I have had it! LOL Anyway, I am still on full liquids and this morning was drinking a high protein chocolate drink and started to feel queasy. I stopped the drink and tried some yogurt. BLAH. still felt kind of lousy. I only drank about 1/2 to 2/3 of the protein drink and threw away the yogurt. At lunch I still felt full but made myself eat some soup and s/f pudding because I hadn't had near enough protein yet. I did check with my doctors office they said that sometimes foods can cause problems even if they hadn't yet. I feel better now and certainly hope this doesn't happen a lot! anyone else have something like this? On the good side, I checked my weight today and found out I have lost a total of 35 lbs since 11/7! I lost 13 lbs before surgery, and the rest since surgery on 12/12! thanks for any information! Hi Deborah, Welcome to the Loser's side I know that immediately following surgery, I felt the same way you do. I think it is a combination of your body adjusting to new eating patterns - we aren't eating the junk anymore and maybe you are sensitive to dumping. I know that at first, I could not have anything with Splenda in it. It made me feel yucky. Now, I have no problems with Splenda. I am almost 1 year out. So, keep track of what you are eating and when and when you feel yucky. Good luck. I know that sometimes it is just trial and error. Linda 367/212/?

Hi Deborah I am 2 1/2 yrs. out, I found out shortly after surgery I was lactose intolerant..so Linda has good advice, track what you are taking in..you might figure out it's one particular thing that bothers you.. Good luck and great weight loss!! Brenda

Try making s/f hot cocoa with skim milk. It is an easy way to get some protein in, just don't boil the milk. Also, sip on some ISOPURE (zero carb). It is a clear liquid and it really helped me during those first few weeks. I also sipped on slim fast, which helped a lot. GOOD LUCK
