New Job or New Insurance Please Help

I posted this on the insurance board, but on the whole, it tends to be a little quiet over there...so I thought I'd post here in case someone here could advise me. I live in Columbus. Thanks. I need help with two areas. If anyone can help me, please, please respond asap. 1) What insurance companies will offer WLS coverage to small businesses with approx 20 employees? My husband would change our coverage for his business (he owns) if we could figure out what carrier would cover it. No one seems to want to offer it to small businesses and I just feel like there has to be at least just ONE!!! 2) What employers with WLS in its insurance plan offers new insurance to PART-TIME employees (from day one)? I think I may have to take on a second job if it has come to that. Thanks..I feel so alone and desperate!

Here in the Cleveland area there is a place called the Counsel of Smaller Enterprises (COSE) that small business owners can get their insurance through. They pool their resources and get a fair deal with Medical Mutual of Ohio. That's how I have my insurance. I don't know if there is anything similar in the Columbus area, but you would think so, it is such a good idea. Good luck! Cal

Cal, thanks for this...Do you know if Medical Mutual through this group covers WLS? Did you use this insurance for your surgery? I looked into the group plan available through our business joining the chamber of commerce, but the insurance (it was Anthem) aloso had an exclusion for WLS.

Yes, I am having surgery this Tuesday and Medical Mutual is paying for it with a cap of $10,000. I did not have to do the 6 mo. diet, as I had proof of many, many diets. Good Luck, Cal
