I have been having these weird symptoms lately...I am 2 1/2 yrs. out and pretty compliant... for the last 3 or so months I started having tingling in my hands and legs..at times they would feel really heavy. I had a surgeon suggest thiamin shots, so we tried that for afew weeks and the symptoms seemed to get better.. now they are back again within the last couple of weeks and getting worse...my arms and legs feel weak at times, I get dizzy and I am told by those who "still love me" (guess I been cranking, lol)my personality has changed, I am irritable and I know I feel nervous..sometimes I wake up with the shakes..and that brings up another point....I rarely sleep..I am up all night long, last night I watched TV till about 3am..finally fell asleep on the couch, woke up went to bed and laid there tossing and turning.. this is getting rediculous..I went to my PCP this week, he is sending me to an endocrinologist?? so maybe he can figure this all out..my PCP doesnt think this is weight loss related. geesshhh, I think I am getting healthy then something weird happens. any ideas? Thanks Brenda

Hi Brenda, I feel so badly for you. Do you diabetes? If you don't why an endocrinolodist? It sounds like nuropothy(sp???) I had that before surgery whrn my sugar was high. I think we all are afraid of the future after this surgery. Please keep us informed. If you want to talk e-mail me and I will give you my no. I have to get my blood taken this week but I don't know what to tell him I need. My sister told me to get my *bum* check and I have no idea what that is lol. Are you still taking the thiamin shots? Good luck and let me know Love,Cindy

Hi ladies... I don't get the thiamin shots any longer, I had a total of one a week for 5 weeks--that doc says I have had enough where another says I should take them awhile longer.. Then I have my PCP who wants me checked out for graves disease, I will have blood work done next week, can't get into see the specialist till after the first of the year....I have had other symptoms as well. Right now I just feel like I have a bug..just feeling kinda yucky.. I will let you know when I find out.. See you all later Brenda

sounds like diabetic neuropathy to me. tingling/burning extremities. feeling weak and crappy in the mornings (maybe your blood sugar is dangerously low in the mornings) that'll do it. keep us updated.
