I'm a grad student in the dayton area and have only student health insurance which DOES NOT cover WLS. I currently have no job and am very broke. does anyone know of any employers that a) offer health insurance to pt employees, and b) covers the WLS? or know of any way of financing or getting the money to cover the surgery? I'm starting to feel at my wits end. there are certain hospitals around her that won't even see me without knowing how i'll pay first and that don't have payment plans. I'm feeling so lost. M

Hi Michelle, I work for Siemens Business Services in Mason, OH -- only about 30-40 min away. To qualify for insurance I think you only need to work 20-25 hours a week, and two of the five companies we have to choose from cover WLS. I know that UHC's PPO covers DS and all WLS's, not sure if the other covers any more than RNY. Our facility is a help desk and network monitoring center. There are occasionally some positions that are more customer service oriented and not necessarily technical. Check Monster.com for current openings. Once that's done, then you can check out the New Life Surgery Center at the Kettering Medical Center. Dr. Rita Anderson is wonderful! Valerie
