Any wls friendly employers in Columbus? Especially that carry United Health Care with no exclusions or caps?? I have a BS in education, but I am open to any opportunities that would help my wls journey. Desperate and sad that my company only covers 50% with a cap of $12,500. It might as well be a million dollars, as I do not have $15,000.

Verizon Wireless... They have CIGNA as their insurance company. You do have to do a 6 month supervised diet. I followed the guidelines and got approved first letter. I had my surgery in May at OSU. I was shocked they took care of the entire bill. Good Luck! Julie

Thanks for the info Julie. My BMI is right at 40. Do they require that you have to be above 40 for 5 years? (my husband's ins. is Medical Mutual Super Plus & they have a lot of hoops to jump through.)

My BMI was like 43. It had been that way for 10 years. I had diabetes, but no meds. They still approved me. I did not have HBP or a sleep apnea. You have to do a 6 month supervised diet. My PCP also had me go to a dietician during that time. Once I completed my 6 months I was approved after 2 weeks. Good Luck and Best Wishes... Julie
