Lap band help

Has anyone had a lapband at the Barix center in Grove port? That is all they will consider on me because of my anti inflamitory use for a back injury... right now i am jumping through hoops for my insurance company.

Dr. Barbara is doing my surgery there on Jan. 16. I think he seems like an excellent surgeon.

My surgery with Dr. Barbara is in 4 days! So, I will have more information next week about the actual procedure and details. However, their pre-op eval and pre-admission day were very supportive of the band. I am self-pay and it ran about $14,000-and that included follow-up/fills for the first year. If you read my profile, I have been to three other surgeons including the WISH center here in Ohio. They have all been great in their education and pre-surgical training! I chose Barix because of their lower self-pay cost and the abillity to get the surgery done before the end of the year. Let me know if you have more detailed questions.
