had a problem lastnight
lastnight my incision started to leak about 1 pm i covered it and sat in chair till my wife came home and i stood up and the stuff just poured out of the wound.we called the drs. office again ( the first time they said to keep and eye on it) basically they said to come to the ER to get it checked out so we drove the hour there. the hole WAS only the size of a nail but by the time the ER was done it is the size of a quarter.anyway they said it was the fat coming out as a liquid. has anyone had a problem like this? i had the open rny.i thought they put a drain in the incision so this stuff doesnt do what it did..but then again surgery itself is new to me
so i really dont know what to expect because i really didnt expect this.

I had open surgery. I never had drains. I was really surprised. My incision did not heal until the 6 week. It kept opening up. I was glud with internal stitches. The internal stitches kept comming out, They told me to just cut them off. My binder also caused my stomach to rub. I started wearing a wife beater tee shirt under it.

Hey Richard:
It's good to see you. I am sorry to hear about the opening of the wound and hope that it closes quickly. When I had my first C- Section this happened to me. I was sitting down and felt something warm and wet and when I looked down I freaked out. They opened up the wound a little more and then packed it with medicated strips that had to be pull of and repacked everyday. It healed after a few weeks and all was fine.
