Jackie, I am sorry to hear that the surgeon that you initially selected did not wish to do your surgery, consider it a blessing in disguise. Everyday people come to the OR (operating room) with latex allergies and difficult airways. Someplaces are more adept at dealing with these problems than others. The honesty your initial surgeon showed in not risking your wellbeing is admirable, although it has placed you in this difficult situation it has not cost you your LIFE!!!!! I will pray that the OSU will accept you for surgery this month Good Luck ZZ

I just wanted to make sure you all know how much I appreciate your replies to my post. I'm in with OSU and I have surgery scheduled on 12/30/05. I think with Dr. Needleman. I hope I'm enjoying my classes on nutrition and know that I'm going to be armed with good info going in to this. But please know, I will be here asking questions because I'm one of those "Inquiring Minds". Blessings and Happy Holidays! Jacquelyn

I am so happy you got a date. You know we will all be here for you the entire time. Its a wonderful journey and it's amazing all the help everyone here will give you. I really don't know what or how I would have been able to get through this if it weren't for this site. Ask anything you want and remember no question is stupid. I learned so much here and I feel we are all close friends. By next Christmas you will probably be at goal.Much love and good wishes for a wonderful year ahead. Love, Cindy
