Medabolix Anyone?

Last August I went to OH conference in Cincinnati and heard Dr. Stickler from Charleston WV. He was awesome. So I went to his website and signed up for his online nutrition help and have emailed him several times...with no response. The frustration is that I paid money to join this with the promise of online help....and I have gotten nothing. Wait I have a nutrition log and fitness journal that I already had with fitday.com. So the personal touch that they promised is not happening. I was wondering has anyone else fallen into this trap ? I am so mad at myself. I just wanted to learn more about the hormonal imbalances that he talked about and to try and get some added help other than a support group that meets once every other month. ANd as usual I got burned. When will I learn? I just want to make sure I am not gonna fall back into my old ways. Cindy in Sarahsville 287/ 150/ 135goal

Miss Cindy, Dont get discouraged!! Why dont you and I start a support group for our area. I know there is a need in our communities for this. The support group at the hospital is great and I always learn something from the meetings. But I think as post ops we also need that emotional support as well. To have someone say" Yeah, thats happened to me too".. So I am all for helping to start a support group for our county... Just let me know if you are interested and I will start the ball rolling right after the holidays. I run into so many post ops in this area who are feeling the same way about not getting enough support and wishing their was a group. I have a neighbor who is a nurse and a post op and I am sure would help us out as well. So dont dispair, I am close by and if you ever need a face to face conversation we can meet anywhere and chat. I would love that.. I will bring the bottled water on ice. LOL BIG HUGS !!! Laura

I almost had my surgery done with Dr.Stickler but at the last minute I backed out because his recertionist was so nasty. If I were you I would call and tell them what happened or write him a personal letter. He is a nice man and probably never looks at his e-mail.Good luck and follow up on this. Cindy \

Hey there! Thanks for the reply and yes that is a super idea to call... because obviously there is something not quite right about htis whole set up. I just don't think he seemed to be the kind of person(dr) that would tolerate this oversight if he knew it was going on. Thanks again and great name.
