Wow!!! After what seemed to be weeks & weeks of hanging right above 200 lbs., I FINALLY made it to Onederland this a.m.!!! I weighed in at 199.5 lbs... just barely there, but I'm claiming it! That makes for a total of 120.5 pounds down, and, 99.5 lbs. of that since surgery on June 6th. YIPPY-KAY-AYE!!! Thank you to everyone for your support... it REALLY does help!!! And, Lisa's "Just 3-Bites Rule" really made a difference in helping me get through Thanksgiving (Thank you, Lisa!). The Traditional Thanksgiving meal has always been my most favorite meal of the year... I particularly love Pumpkin Pie, and was able to have some of one that I got at Der Dutchman that was sugar-free (following the 3-bite rule). I also love stuffing... again, got through that with just 3 bites vice the 1/2 plate that I would have had in the past. Wow, have things changed! I was probably the only one who did not come away from the table holding their stomach in disbelieve of what they had done to themselves! What a good feeling!!! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving... I know that I have alot to be thankful for, especially this year. Hugs to all, Karen

Thanks Barb! This surgery has been a blessing to me... I haven't seen the scale say one-hundred and anything in almost 16 years!!! Needless to say, I do feel so much better than I have in a long, long time. I'm not really fixed on an "end weight"... My 6 month follow up appointment with my surgeon is next Monday, so, I think that I will discuss it with him. I was shooting for around 150 lbs., but, with my height and age, that may not necessarily be realistic. Heck, if for some reason I couldn't lose any more weight, I'd be satisfied with how far I've come so far! I've definitely gotten a new lease on life.... Thanks again, Karen

Congratulation's on hitting onederland! I think our bodies like the 2# as I've seen many of us hover about the # for what seems forever before breaking into the 1's congrat's!
