She needs to find out if the coverage she has through the state covers the surgery some do. They come out ahead in the long run paying for this surgery rather than keeping someone on medications for problems due to obesity. I wish all insurance companies would take a look at the big picture rather than that big cost of the surgery. She can also come here and check out insurers and such she may be able to find one here.
