Hillsboro Meeting

Hi everyone! I just wanted to remind folks that Monday, November 14th is our next monthly support group meeting at the YMCA in Hillsboro, OH at 6:00 p.m. Anyone who is interested is invited to attend, whether you are pre-op, post-op, just considering Weight Loss Surgery, or are the concerned loved one of a person wishing to have surgery!!! Hi Karen I am from Sardinia Ohio and currently drive all the way to Cincinnati to my support group meetings. My best friend is getting ready to have lap RNY and I am 3-weeks post-op lap band. Is this group for lap band patients also? Carla

Hi Carla!!! Our group is for anyone who has had any type of WLS, is considering it or is the friend/loved one of someone who has had it or is considering it. In other words, lap-banders are extremely welcome also! We are a small group, just getting started in trying to build on it's members... we do have a regular lap-bander who attends and would LOVE to have other lap-banders to connect with. If you have any questions, or would like to talk over the phone, send me an e-mail with your phone number and the best time to reach you, and I will give you a call (don't post your phone number here on the board, however.) Be patient with me... it could possibly take me a couple days to get back to you because I don't currently have internet at home - as we are waiting for the local power company to give RoadRunner permission to use their poles for a hook-up. Again, we would love to have you and your friend!!! My co-leader and I have both had the Chapter Leader training through ObesityHelp and do now fall under their "umbrella", which is nice because they provide us with meeting materials and current information, also, access to free product samples at times. I hope to see you at our next meeting! We always meet at the YMCA in Hillsboro on the 2nd Monday of the month at 6:00 p.m., and I usually try to post a reminder on the Ohio Board. Thanks, Karen
