Having a hard time

This is my first time to post but I've been lurking on the boards for about 7 months. I have gotten so much encouragement and information by doing this. I have a question? Does anyone else feel like they're hungry all the time? I'm 6mths. from surgery and I want to eat all the time. I feel like something is wrong with me. I find myself eating things I shouldn't or grazing a lot. I'm really trying to get this under control. Any suggetstions would be greatly appreciated. So far I've lost 70lbs. but it's going really slowly for the past couple of months. Maybe 1lb. a week on the average. Is this normal? Also, I'm having a really hard time controlling my bowels. I've even had a few accidents lately. Has anyone else had this problem?

I would increase your protein and water and excercise. My doctor told me after 6 months 10 pounds a month is really good. So I think your doing okay. I would be careful for the grazing. I would stop now. Because. It can cause you to gain you weight back. I would eat 3 - 4 small meals a day and the rest of the day drink plenty of fluids. I am only 6 weeks out. I went thru that already. I was hungry all the time. I just had to set my mind to what I was doing. Take Care Take Care Barb

I don't know if this may hel*****t, and I'll start off by saying that I am preop for lapband... The surgeon I am using suggests that the post op diet for his lapband and RNY patients consist of 6 small meals daily to keep your matabolism working at optimum efficiency. It keeps your body fed, and avoid the hunger of going longer in between meals. Also, what is your protein intake like? Protein has a direct effect on the feelings of hunger. Foods higher in protein satisfy you longer. Don't know if any of it helps, as I said, I'm still a "virgin" about this new life after WLS. I'll be joining the "Losers" after the first of the year.
