Support Groups in Cincinnati Area
Hello!
I'm trying to find a support group for post-op RNY in the Cincinnati area that doesn't require that you be a patient of that particular doctor to participate in their groups. I completely understand when doctors don't want to do follow up care for lap-band but I'm just talking about the good ol'fashion support and do's and don'ts that we need to hear. I had first looked into a surgeon in my area and really liked their follow up program. He gave me a very polite and lengthy reason as to why they won't allow other patients in their groups. So if anyone has any suggestions, I would really appreciate it! Thanks!
Melissa

THere's a GREAT GROUP that doesn't care who your doctor is or what type of WLS you've had. They are VERY ACTIVE. Even though I don't get to the meetings as much as I want I go on line almost every day and read. Sometimes I post but a lot of time just don't have time to.
Here's the link to the main site then go to the message board and introduce yourself. I think they are having a meeting this week but check the site for details. http://www.wlsbutterflynetwork.org/
Good Luck,
