any good bariatric surgeons near Defiance, Ohio
HI, I am visiting your state, used to live there a long time ago. My question is concerning docs in the defiance ohio area. My daughter lives there and will be having surgery next year sometime. She will get the process going as soon as she recuperates from toe surgery. She works for GM and they will pay for it. Just doing some checking for her. I am pre-0p and the big day is 11-14-05. Thanks for letting me say hello to all you wonderful people. Colette
I'm having my surgery done through the WISH Center in Springboro. It's a couple of hours from you (and three hours from where I live), but the pre-op care and the focus on exercise, emotional well-being and sustainable eating habits are better than anything I could've gotten locally.
Some people do want a no frills approach. They want surgery and nothing else, and that's good, too. You really have to know what it is you want and find a surgeon or clinic that offers that. In Toledo, I think the best choice is probably Patrick White. A friend of mine got her gastric bypass from him and she's doing very well.
Hi Colette, That is a long distance to live from your daughter. I had Dr. Brian Lane do my surgery. At the time he was with the Barix Center in Yipsilanti. I have heard that he moved to open the WLS center at the Wood County Hospital. He is an excellent surgeon and an upfront doctor. I would reccomend him to anyone. Good luck to your daughter. Stop in and visit the Ohio board again. Deb
