Good PCP in Cincinnati area.

I may be moving to Cincinnai soon. I need the name of a good doctor that is WLS friendly. Also, need name of a good Psych doctor for my eval. My Insurance is United. Thanks bunches. Josie

My PCP is okay, he helped me through the process and I know he has helped others; his name is Dr. Newton Bullard. The Psych I went to was recommended by my surgeon's office; her name was Monica Kennedy. I hope this helps!

Hi, i looked up Dr. Bullard, and he is in my network thru United. How was he to deal with when you brought up your WLS? I am in the process of getting my old records together, but don't have that much. I'm the type of person who has to be on death's door before I'll go to a doctor. I don't think Dr. Kennedy is in my network. I may have to pay for psych eval on my own.. Thanks for all the info. Josie

I can score you the psych doctor. His name is David Katkin (LMHC) and he is in Milford OH on the east side of Cincy. His office is in the buildings right behind Charlie Bazil's on 28. He does a lot of pre-op evaluations. I'm not too happy with my PCP lately, so I'm looking for a new one, too. If you hear of one, let me know. Check out the New Life Surgery Center up in Kettering. They do RNY and DS procedures and Kettering Mem Hospital has a new bariatric wing that is chez swanky. Valerie

I go to Group Health Assocaites (GHA) and see Dr. Leela Vhrishnabendra (sp) in the Anderson office. She was very supportive. My surgeon, Dr. George Kerlakian, is also with GHA. They worked together and that made things go smoother. (Dr. Trace Curry at Deaconess Hospital is also an excellent surgeon.) I saw Dr. Monica Kennedy for the psych eval and really like her too.
