Insurance question

Hi...found out my insurance has that dreadful exclusion. SO.....next step is to see if any of you have ever purchased insurance on your own for the sole purpose of this surgery? If so..who's a good company to contact? Thanks!!!!!!!! Linda

Hello Linda, I don't know of any insurance you could purchase, but I've gotten a whole lot of advice over the last week. My insurance also has the exclusion. I'm writing to the HR at my husbands company, to see if they will consider lifting the exclusion. If that doesn't work, I think I'm going to get a lawyer. Hi, I did ask my company to see i could buy a rider or something. Answer was no, as I expected. I don't think it would help in my case to hire an attorney. I have decided to go in a different direction. I will be changing jobs and finding an employer who's insurance will cover the WLS. So that is where I am at in the process.
