Bariatric Support Groups 6th Annual Ball

HI EVeryone, This year the Jackson, Michigan Baric Clinic support group is hosting the 6th Annual Bariatric Support Groups Ball. Since during the last few years there have been several folks *****gularly come to the ball I thought I would post the information on your forum. For those of you who do not know, this is an tuxedo/evening gown affair. Those who come can tell you how much fun it is. Jackson is located in south central Michigan, straight up US-127. If you are interested I can let you know about the block of hotel rooms at the Holiday Inn Holidome here in Jackson. Daniel Klee Well here it is, information about the 2006 Bariatric Support Groups Formal Ball. The theme this year is "Imagine..." When: April 8th 2006 Where: Gene Davis & Sons Banquet and Convention Center 3575 Francis St. Jackson, Michigan 49203 Time: Reception at 6:00. Dinner at 7:00-7:30 Price: $45.00 per person Menu: Prime rib, baked orange roughy, red skin potatoes with butter and chives, fresh broccoli with cheese on the side, Caesar salad, pesto & toretellini pasta salad, and garlic crumb rolls. All buffet style. Assorted deserts will be served after dinner. Garlic toast and cheese spread, cheese and crackers etc will be available throughout the evening. Chicken salad, tuna salad, with breads and vegetable tray etc. will be available around 10:00pm. Cash Bar Early bird drawing entries must be in by January 31st. Hi Daniel, Sounds like a fun time, It is open to all bariatric patients or just those that had surgery through Barix? I'll have to see the closer that time comes around. I have no idea where or when I will be working at that time, right now my job is contracted through the state. BTW are you the Daniel I met in Cincy and had a picture taken with? If so I've been looking for you and that photo and any others you had taken. If you are, please share! keep us posted on this event as it nears. hugs, Vickie

Vickie, Yes I am the same Dan who took the picture with you!! I'm surprised you remember me! I think I still have that picture on my camera. If you would like it I would be hapy to email it to you. You do not have to be a Barix Clinic patient to attend this. It is open to all wls folks and their spouses, better halfs, whom ever. We have people from all over and many different hospitals attend our Ball every year. For those of you who do not know it iw quite an event. It's so wonderful to see so many people in tuxedos and evening gowns and all sharing a common bond, overcoming obesity. You will definitely leave there quite inspired. Vickie a couple years ago Bo McCoy attended and you should have seen him out there on the dance floor!! A regular John Travolta!! Anyway, I hope you can make it. It would be nice to see you again. Yes I remember you Dan! Glad to hear the event is open to all... now to get me in an evening gown, might take some doing.. haha and a date would be nice for something like this. Ahh perhaps he'll come along before that time. Bo = John Travolta? Ok now I've met Bo a couple times, but have yet to see this side of him! As I said, I can't confirm as of this moment, because of job situation.. this contract is up in Feb.. from here I don't know where I will go. I looked and looked for you and your profile after Cincy, but didn't know where you lived.. and when I did run across it, your profile wasn't spruced.. and you had mentioned I had done it. I don't see where it's done so that threw me off. You can send the pic's to [email protected], I'll get them when I get home.
