Ok im four weeks post op today. In the first two weeks i lost 35 lbs. Wonderful i know heres the problem. Once i started eating i havent lost a thing in fact im two lbs heavier. Im thinking maybe muscle building back up because of all the walking. Ive also had bathroom issues but all is better there now. I do measure once a week and continue to lose inches. Im watching and measuring what i eat so i dont think thats it. Just wondered if anyone else hit a plateau this early on? And yes i do get in all my water! Tammy

Yes this is so normal. My doctor told me it can happen with every 10-20 pounds you lose. Your body is still losing... I put the old scales up. That is not what counts. What counts is those inches...... I have lost 5 inches off my waste. I see a curve in there. Havent seen one of those in awhile. I do the measuring tape more than the scale. Your doing great. Some people are way behind us on weight. I am 3 weeks I have lost 28. Some people only lose that in 2 months. So we are doing great. Keep walking. I am up to 1-1/2 miles. Boy it is hard. But I force myself. I know this is going to make my heart strong. My family says they dont hear me snore in the mornings, So I think My sleep apnea may be going away. God I hope so. Do you ever go to your surgery date board. You can compare your weight loss with others. You will find you are doing great. Take Care you are fine. This is normal. Take care barb

Weight fluctuates. You are not on a plateau if you continue to lose inches. Your body is redistributing itself. Hang on and enjoy the ride. Plus you could be carrying water weight.

Thanks everyone. I saw my doc this am he said i was doing super. I did get yelled at for weighing too much lol not like i thought but because he wanted me to get rid of scales. He said dont be surprised if you stay at the same weight for a couple of more weeks then boom 20 lbs will drop. He said all the exercise and all i was doing was building muscle. My labs were all very good so im eating right and he said my food diary looked good. So Yahoo!!! Tammy
