Any support groups in Wadsworth Ohio? Please.

This seems to be a common question - I know I asked the same thing about Medina. Too bad their isn't a place everyone could list the information about all the support groups in Ohio. Or is there such a place and I just haven't found it yet? Mary Ann, the closest ones I know of are in Barberton and North Olmstead, although I haven't been to them yet. Until I am post-op I think I will stick to the one at the Cleveland Clinic where I am having my surgery. Good luck, CB

Mary, There is a support group sponsored by St. V's in North Canton. It is on the 2nd Tuesday of the month @ 7 p.m. We meet at the Perkin's restuarant near Belden Village Mall. It is very in formal. There is someone who is coming from St. V's to talk this month. I live in Barberton and have never heard of a support group here in town. If there is one I would love to know about it! BTW you didn't have to have your surgery at St. V's to come to the meeting......I had mine at UH and I go to them! If you want to come email me and I will give me better information. Sue

Sue, I just got a list of support groups during my psych eval at Cleveland Clinic. How current it is, I don't know. There is a group listed called "Greater Akron Weight Loss Support Group" that meets at Barberton Public Library the first Tues. of the month, 6:30 - 7:30. The contact number I have is 330-745-1194. DR. ZOGRAFAKIS HAS A SUPPORT GROUP EVERY MONTH AT AKRON CITY HOSPITAL. I'M NOT SURE OFF HAND OF THE DATES BUT IF YOU CALL THE OFFICE 330-370-6590 THEY CAN TELL YOU THE DATES.
