sizes?
OK ladies, what's the difference in sizing from Misses to Women's to Jr's?
Women's size 12 is too big in my hips, waist, legs, well everywhere.. haha in zip up pants that is. Misses, don't they just run to like a 16 and up?
And Jr's have less hip/butt/leg room correct?
But if a 12 women's is too big on me ~~Why does a 13 JR., [yes you heard me say that] FIT me? My sister told me I could probably squeeze into an 11 though.
So anyways I DID buy a 13 Jr Jean on Sat.
Or so I thought it was!
hugs,

Vickie, I think this is one of the most shameless things in the American clothing industry--no standards! Did you know all other industrialized nations on this earth have sizes standardized by law? In other words, every single "12" fits like EVERY OTHER SINGLE "12"!!! Wouldn't that be nice? Unfortunately, American clothing providers' 'funnest game' is jerking-around the female population. I have tried on regular ladies' 18's that fit me just fine--and then found a 22W that I couldn't get into, in the same week!! It's a crime. Anyway, I always have identified certain brands, and certain sizes in those brands--and I know THOSE will fit me. It's all you can do. I love Alfred Dunner clothing--you can find them in Elder Beerman and Sears and Penneys--it is so standard, and it runs very large, everything. Not some of it. So when I'm buying nice clothes, I stick to them...and when I buy jeans, I buy Gloria Vanderbilt--they are very predictable, too, and I like the way they fit me. Sometimes they are hard to find, but they're worth it!
yep.. shameless.
Right now, buying nice clothes means - being able to keep them on for at least a month
- I have resorted to cheap for the time being... Until I settle at a near goal weight.. I have spent sooo much $ on clothing in the last 9 months! You don't get many hand-me-downs when your in 10's, 12's, 13's on this site. As long as I look decent for work, I'm good to go, the jeans of course are for play!
Once I am there though I will find makers who's sizes are hopefully true and that I can stick with.
Thank you!

Thank you Cindy,
Guess I'm back to where I was 26 yrs ago in looks! [
] Only thinner
! In college everyone thought I was only 14
Guess I can find me a younger man now?
Yep about 10 more lbs since the conference 6 weeks ago.. more inches though.. not that much weight, but I've been going to the gym.. toning.. and I bared my shoulders in this pic [just came home from gym]
Again Thank you..
!

Thank you!
teenager
tiny
maybe cause I got one? I don't think I've ever really shown my age... well maybe at my highest wt.
dunno.. I think I look older now, [facing myself in the mirror - lines I never had before]
I'm not tiny, by any means, people assume I weigh about 150 [I hide it well I guess] But I'm weighing in at 189. I'm 5'6" [used to be 5'7"+, maybe I'm regaining some of my height? I know the weight was really weighing me down, making me slump bad, bent over walk.. all that.
Ok. too much.. I was told, just say "Thank you" and smile

Hey Vick,
You DO look great! Your pretty eyes are enormous and the change is remarkable. You have a luminous quality about you.
Juniors supposedly have a higher bustline, narrower waist, toothpick sleeves and legs (picture a teenage girl) ... misses' can possibly go higher than a 16 but that is the normal max (some snobby lines only go up to a 12). Of course, women's sizes have larger (and lower) bustlines, proportionately larger hips. Funny they don't usually make the sleeves that much larger, so I always had to buy a size or two larger just for the sleeves. And of course the bustlines were always 'way too big for me.
Ya just gotta try them on. I hit the thrift stores a lot, especially during the "transition" period.
I cannot believe I bought Size 6 this week at Sears. But typically an 8 now. Never thought I'd be in the single digits!
Your turn is right around the corner!
Hugs,
Kitty B.
