general surgery question

Hi everyone. I need to know if anyone knows this answer. I had arm and tummy surgery 10 days and weigh 10 lbs more than when I went in the hospital. He said he took off around 11 lbs and I was on an IV for 2 days. I know I am swollen but this is so upsetting. I have not gone off my program at all so is all this normal? When does it start coming off? I hate to call him because I don't want him think I am insane. You all know I am lol. I know for sure this isn' t my eating. I am swollen. Love Cindy

Cindy, You have a lot of tissue edema (swelling) that is all water weight. It will probably take 3 or 4 weeks to get rid of it all. Don't worry - be happy! C
