Do you know this Man?
Dr. Inge and Dr. Garcia are some the most well know pediatric bariatric surgeons in the United States. The have a comprehensive bariatric program dealing with morbidly obese adolescent/children. Dr. Inge is collaborating with UC Surgeons in research issues related to obesity. Simply put he's a great guy.

Dr. Selwyn,
Do you happen to know what types of studies he is doing? I would imagine they revolve around childhood obesity correct?
Is there a place to go to investigate his research topics? I have two teenage daughters, one with obesity issues and one without, my son does not have any obese tendancies either. There is obesity on both sides of my family and curiously enough the daughter that is having the obesity issues was the only child I was not able to breastfeed, hmmm.
Anyways, any info would be appreciated. I have spent the last three years as an OB Research Nurse at OSU, and my current interests are leading my career pathway toward more involvement with the bariatric community.
Thanks,
Valerie Curry, RN
Ms. Curry:
You are correct in assuming that the research is related to obesity and adolescents. I can't comment on your question of breast feeding and obesity. Thanks for the interest.
