Mistaken Identity.. Which one is the real Laura

This is the craziest thing that has happened regarding my weight loss. I have been anxiously awaiting a check from the state for my babysitting my grandson all summer long. They told me it was mailed on the 10th. Well lo and behold it hadnt gotten to me yet, and being broke I was needing it badly. I called yesterday and they said it had been cashed at my bank on the 13th. As it turns out someone who happens to be the size I was and resembled me walked into my bank and cashed my check. Its on the film and gosh darn it, it looks like me 126 pounds heavier. So this person has gotten a copy of my Drivers licence, and obviously stole this check out of my mailbox ( I have no idea how they knew it was coming) and cashed it. The ladies at the bank didnt recognize me this morning when I went to try and straighten it out. They asked for my id, and of course its still my fat pic and the same license this lady had. So now I have to close all my accts etc because of the identity theft. I had to convince them I was the real Loraine and the heavy one was the fake one. LOL I guess I should of gotten my drivers license renewed when I was supposed to, and I would of had a thinner picture on it. LOL So.. I had to file police reports etc and they will reissue a check to me and I will go in person to pick it up. I suggested they have a scale handy to prove which is the real Loraine. They didnt seem to think that was funny.. But I was trying to see some humor in a crappy situation. Oh well, Thats life in Lauraland!!! Hugs to all, Laura

OMG !!!! Laura you might have a virus on your computer. Do you do online banking. or do any kind of business on line. Do you have virus protection and spyware. A couple of months ago someone paid their cingular phone bill from my bank account, I finally got that starightened out. You need to get a credit report. I heard those people can do a number on someones imformation. Do you have any friends or neighbors that know alot about you. Last and very important do you have a cordless phone. Someone could have a scanner and lisening in on all your calls and knows all of your business. You also maybe should change all your passwords if you do any kind of business on line. That is my biggest fear is identity theft I do all I can to protect our family from that. Take Care I have been gagging all day I am so nerves. Take care Barb

Laura, this is aweful!! Yet it seems funny that you lose this weight and someone would want to steal your identity as the heavier Laura. Sounds like the kind of thing that would happen to me. I sure hope that everything works out to your advantage! Josie
